...on Amazon Kindle!! (but not for long). As the self-proclaimed biggest coward in the galaxy, Horatio has it easy on what passes for 40th century America. A much-favoured sycophant in the court of the King of Earth, Horatio lives in a genetically engineered paradise where there's a vat-grown slave waiting around every marble column with a bunch of grapes to drop into his oh-so perfectly designed mouth.

Unfortunately for Horatio, the artificial intelligence that rules the great mass of humanity spread across the stars has other plans for this feckless seducer. So, if you ever wonder how the galaxy's biggest coward finds himself actually trying to save it, you're not alone... but then, unfortunately, neither is our hero!

His misadventures are abetted by a psychotic Martian warrior, a robot who thinks it's related to Sherlock Holmes, a beautiful genetically enhanced assassin, a scientist with a computer for a brain, and a millennia-old clone who was alive when the last U.S. President was executed by a firing squad.

It's six against the galaxy. Six against the stars. They'll save the universe... but they might damage it first.

on the Kindle!! (but not for long)... yes, it's true, best-selling author Stephen Hunt's amazing new scifi tale, Transference Station, is currently FREE at Amazon.

Are things finally looking up for Captain Lana Fiveworlds? She's managed to reach what passes for civilisation in the wild border systems of the Edge - Transference Station - the largest trading hub in the free worlds. With her ramshackle starship, the Gravity Rose, safely docked, she's now desperately searching for a cargo to stave off bankruptcy.

Yes, it's TRANSFERENCE STATION (Book two in the 'Sliding Void' series)...

Lana's crew needs paying - including the amorous barbarian prince she rescued from a failed colony world. But her crew have other priorities: the ship's android, Zeno, is distracted by terrible secrets from his past, while her alien navigator, Polter, runs into trouble indulging his religious fervour. If that wasn't enough, there's a deal available... but only from the dodgiest broker in a thousand planets. With rival starship captains looking to sabotage Lana for good, and a dangerous mission to a mysterious planet which is far more than the lies she's been spun, things can only get worse from here on in. Lana Fiveworlds and her crew of misfits are still sliding void, just, but for how much longer? Sometimes, the brown stuff piles up so high you need antigravity thrusters to fly over it.

Press Releases / Apocalypse Again? Nibiru Is to Hit Earth in 2012
« on: July 20, 2011, 09:36:13 AM »
The end of the world is nigh….again! The latest threat is not biblical apocalypse, but a rogue planet called “Nibiru.” Wisconsin woman Nancy Lieder claims she can communicate with aliens called the Zetas via a brain implant. She first predicted a giant planet called “Planet X” would collide with earth in 2003. She asked people to kill their pets ahead of the calamity. When that did not work out, she switched it to 2012, in line with other predictions 2012 would be the end of times. Despite her track record, people still believe her. Have Lieder and Harold Camping found a recession-proof way of making money?

Press Releases / A new Superman for the new century
« on: July 20, 2011, 09:35:39 AM »
He has been called the Man of Steel, the Last Son of Krypton and a strange visitor from a distant planet.
He is Superman, the Man of Tomorrow. As part of DC COMICS - THE NEW 52, this September will usher in a new Superman for the new century.
In the pages of ACTION COMICS, writer Grant Morrison and artist Rags Morales will present humanity's first encounters with Superman, before he became one of the World's Greatest Super Heroes. Set a few years in the past, it's a bold new take on a classic hero.
* This Superman is very much an alien, one struggling to adjust to his adopted home. In the series, he must come to terms with both the loss of his home world, as well as the loss of both of his adopted parents. He is more Kal-El from the planet Krypton than Clark Kent from Kansas. He's a loner trying to find his place in the world.
* The series' first storyline will explore the origins of Superman's costume, as it evolves from a look that includes jeans and work boots to a new look: a suit of battle armor that pays tribute to his Kryptonian past.
* His great powers have limits. When the series begins, Superman can leap tall buildings, but his ability to fly is in its infancy.
And in the SUPERMAN ongoing comic book series, by writer George Perez and artist Jesus Merino, will be set in present day continuity and will unleash a series of new challenges for Superman and his alter ego Clark Kent.
* Clark Kent is single and living on his own. He has never been married.
* Lois Lane is dating a colleague at the DAILY PLANET (and his name isn't Clark Kent) and she has a new position with the paper.
Timeless and modern, classic and contemporary, but younger, brasher and more brooding, this is Superman. The New Man of Tomorrow.
ACTION COMICS issue 1 goes on sale on September 7th 2011 and SUPERMAN issue 1 goes on sale September 28th 2011.

Press Releases / Star Trek: The Next Generation re-runs on CBS Action
« on: July 20, 2011, 09:34:25 AM »
CBS Action has hired an unknown, Raules Davies, to front Star Trek: The Next Generation which airs on the channel each weeknight from 20 July, 2011, and conduct live chats over on Twitter during the episodes, sharing trivia and giving other fans the chance to win some great memorabilia and other prizes.

In a unique TV first, hotel night manager, Davies, 36, will introduce the episodes and share his vast Star Trek knowledge with viewers, plus divulge all the trivia and gossip he’s picked up over the years, as a self-styled ‘Trekologist’.

Raules, who has no TV presenting experience, is amazed that his life-long Star Trek fandom has led to his dream job:  “I keep expecting to wake up.  I’m elated and slightly scared.  I’m incredibly excited about the whole thing.  I’m in a position where I hope I can make a difference to Star Trek and its fans and how we’re perceived.”

Chris Sharp, Chief Programming Officer at CBS Action, said: “Raules is an absolute natural.  We knew the moment we interviewed him that he was a star in the making.  We wanted to put our fans at the heart of the marketing campaign, so we’re delighted to have Raules spearheading the activity.”

Davies, who lives in Manchester, was spotted by CBS Action at sci-fi convention Comic Con late last year. Raules explains: “I was approached by a CBS camera crew and asked questions about Star Trek.  I remember the last thing I did, after they had concluded the interview, was turn to the camera and say "Star Trek on CBS Action- to watch anything else would be... illogical!"

Raules is a life-long Star Trek fan with his own collection of memorabilia including genuine uniforms from the show, some of which will feature on-air.  He watches a staggering 8 hours of the sci-fi classic every day and estimates that, so far, he has spent more than 80,000 hours watching the iconic series.

During the first three episodes, Raules  will be tweeting from the , account - answering and posing questions, sharing trivia and giving other fans the chance to win some great memorabilia and other prizes.

CBS Action features the very best in high octane action-dramas, including much content from the world-famous CBS studios including NCIS, Chuck Norris favourite Walker, Texas Ranger and The District.  Since launch in November 2009, the channel has quickly built up a huge following. Its sister channels CBS Reality, CBS Drama and The Horror Channel are also big hitters amongst entertainment viewers, with the CBS Channels among the fastest growing entertainment channels in the country.

CBS Action will show all seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation from 20th July 2011.
