The 2010 British Science Fiction Awards ceremony took place at the 62nd Eastercon convention, Illustrious 2011, at the Hilton, Metropole, Birmingham, UK. The ceremony was hosted by novelist, TV and action comics writer, Paul Cornell, and the following awards were presented:

Best Novel 2010 - The Dervish House, Ian McDonald (Gollancz)
Best Short Fiction 2010 - The Shipmaker, Aliette de Bodard (Interzone #231)
Best Non-Fiction 2010 - “Blogging the Hugos: Decline”, Paul Kincaid (Big Other)
Best Artwork 2010 - Cover of Zoo City, Joey Hi-Fi

The BSFA Awards are voted for by members of the BSFA and Eastercon. The shortlist was drawn up earlier this year from nominations received by members of the BSFA and the final vote was held on the 23rd April 2010, followed by the ceremony. Works published in the UK for the first time in 2010 were eligible for these awards.
