2000 AD coming to SDCC at Booth 2806!

Geoff the head Uncle:
2000 AD coming to SDCC!

The Galaxy’s Greatest Comic is preparing to spread thrill-power to the world’s biggest comic book convention next week – 2000 AD is headed for San Diego Comic Con 2011  at Booth 2806!

Tharg the Mighty’s minions – editor Matt Smith, graphic novels editor Keith Richardson and PR co-ordinator Michael Molcher – will be at Booth 2806 with copies of the cosmos-spanning 2000 AD graphic novel range.

There will also be the chance for some lucky earthlets to pick up 2000 AD’s SDCC-only exclusive – a limited edition T-shirt showing the stony face of justice himself, Judge Dredd. The design on the baseball-style shirts is an exclusive image by Jock, concept artist on the forthcoming Dredd movie due for release next year, and the t-shirt is limited to just 100 pieces.

The 2000 AD booth will stock both copies of its US-only range of graphic novels and UK titles currently unavailable in the States.

Matt Smith, editor of 2000 AD, said:

“As the world’s biggest comic convention, it would be remiss of Tharg’s minions to ignore the potential for spreading thrill-power to the masses who attend SDCC.

“With 2012 marking not only 2000 AD's 35th anniversary but also the release of the eagerly anticipated Dredd movie, along with our US-only graphic novel range and weekly progs being made available through Diamond, there’s never been a better time for American earthlets to get onboard with 2000 AD.”
