Avon releases steampunk novella.
« on: April 16, 2012, 03:31:16 AM »
The first book in Zoe Archer’s debut Avon Impulse novella, SKIES OF FIRE, is already an established author with her paranormal romance series, “Blades of the Rose,” has created an exciting new world in the “Ether Chronicles” series to introduce to her loyal readers and new fans alike.

Associate Editor Amanda Bergeron was very excited to acquire a steampunk manuscript. “Steampunk combines the things we love about historical and paranormal romance,” she said. “I know fans of both are going to love SKIES OF FIRE.”

Bergeron believes Archer is a great choice to debut this subgenre within the Avon list. “Zoe is such a smart writer. She seamlessly combines action, adventure and heart-stopping romance at a breakneck pace. That and her huge imagination make her the perfect author to kick start this subgenre for us.”

In SKIES OF FIRE, Captain Christopher Redmond has just one weakness: the alluring spy who loved and left him years before…when he was still just a man. Now superhuman, a Man O’ War, made as part of the British Navy’s weapons program, his responsibility is to protect the skies of Europe. If only he could forget Louisa Shaw.

Louisa, a British Naval Intelligence Agent, has never left a job undone. But when her assignment is compromised, the one man who can help her complete her mission is also the only man ever to tempt her body and heart. As burning skies loom and passion ignites, Louisa and Christopher must slip behind enemy lines if they are to deliver a devastating strike against their foe…and still get out alive.

Zoë Archer is a RITA Award-nominated romance author who writes novels with adventure, sexy men, and women who make no apologies about kicking butt. Her books include The Hellraisers paranormal historical series and the acclaimed Blades of the Rose paranormal historical adventure series. She enjoys baking, tweeting about boots and listening to music from the ‘80s. Archer and her husband, fellow romance author Nico Rosso, live in Los Angeles.
