2012
« on: March 25, 2010, 02:48:00 PM »
I skipped the scifi disaster movie 2012 at the cinema, but see it's now worked it's way to the top of my Amazon watch list as nearly with us DVD release.

It got a lot of pre-publicity and TV ad spots, but then seemed to vanish with nary a critic's comment as far as I could see across the genre internet.

Any Nesters seen it? Worth shelling out for a cheap DVD or wait for it to make it's way to the goggle box?

I just saw it on a rental DVD.

Okay, but another movie that relies too much on special effects and not enough on a coherent and engaging plot.

Maybe I am hard to please?

Hi folks,
I saw it at the cinema. Most of the disaster movies are weak on plot and heavy on the special effects.  So long as you put your brain into neutral and do not expect to do too much thinking, just enjoy the very good effects, you will be pleased with shelling out on the DVD.
