Question for Stephen
« on: March 06, 2010, 11:01:23 AM »
This is a question for Stephen Hunt next time he comes to check on what's being said.

Stephen, who are your main influences as far as authors and genres go?

I loved Court of the Air, BTW, surprised it never made any of the big awards that year.

My influences?

Too many to list - basically every SFF novel from the 1930s-1980s I read, either from my local library or my father's extensive collection.

Particular faves would be Heinlein, Moorcock, E. Doc Smith, Jerry Pournelle, Larry Niven, Alan Dean Foster, William Gibson and similar.

Do you have any big influences outside the skiffy genre?
