Well, I actually write raw into a paper notebook first, and then write up later.

I have both a Mac and a PC. I tend to use the Mac only for surfing, these days, as it's more secure.

The PC (a Dell Quad-core power machine) isn't networked, and I use that for my writing, as well as all the heavy lifting I need to do on database design etc.

Don't think that it can't be done, because it can. Macs don't make you safe, just lazy  :P
